While the world has been seeing the light of the “Foodie” age for some time now, on the marketing, sponsorship and business side of food & drink, we are just scratching the surface of what is an incredibly bright future.  Five years ago when I decided to pivot The Connect Group from sports marketing to culinary marketing, I did it with the confidence (easy to say now) and bullish attitude that culinary marketing would soon be on par with sports and entertainment marketing, as the third pillar brands turn to when spending their marketing dollars.  While we still have a lot of work to do, the vision is beginning to come to fruition and forward thinking brands now look at culinary marketing as a core platform, opposed to a fad opportunity.

The Connect Group has also evolved and we are excited to showcase our new logo, beautiful new website (thank you Serra from Lumens Design) and new blog, which will be home to all things focused on the marketing business of culinary marketing.   We added a key staff member in Gennifer Horowitz to run our consulting and strategy division (more to come on her), promoted Cassie Pallas to VP of Talent Management and will be announcing a few new clients in the coming days.

I am really excited about the direction of The Connect Group and our position as thought leaders and the agency brands turn to when they want to reach Food Connected audiences.   The future is big and bright and we are thankful to be a part of the culinary marketing revolution.  Hope to connect with you soon!
