LONNY SWEET

CEO

With 10+ years in sports marketing, representing the best athletes, coaches and broadcasters in the business, Lonny is endlessly passionate about building strong relationships with his clients and partners.  The path of TCG changed when Lonny met Chef Forgione following his Next Iron Chef victory, and the rest is history (or so we hope).  He is a proud sales guy, prouder father of two girls and fierce protector of his 617 cell phone area code. #masshole #bostonstrong #gosox #gopats #wickedawesome

How I'm food connected:
Food is part of my everyday work life, but at home, I cook for my family and grow herbs and vegetables in our backyard. I'm on a never-ending hunt for the perfect Chinese takeout and will drop everything for an afternoon of tailgating with my buddies.

My last meal on earth:
Appetizer: NOLA Crawfish Boil; EntrŽe: Potato Bacon Pizza from Antonio's Pizza in Amherst, MA; After dinner snack: Mom's Wontons

Instead of a long walk on the beach:
I'd be hanging out, having fun with my daughters (on the beach would be awesome).

CASSANDRE PALLAS

VP Talent Management

Cassie took an unexpected road on the way to The Connect Group. After graduating from Wesleyan University with a double major in Architecture and Art History (yay liberal arts education!), she worked at several small architecture firms and Edelman Digital before realizing that she was hungry for the food world. Immediately before The Connect Group, she spent several years working in Corporate Communications at POSSIBLE, a digital marketing agency. She’s a born and bred New Yorker who loves a good craft project and a strong cocktail. #sorrynotsorry #Tribeca #hapa

How I'm food connected:
Sometimes I wonder how I’m NOT connected to food! My mom taught me how to cook when I was very young and exposed us to many different types of cuisines. My cookbooks and cooking equipment probably take up at least 75% of my small NYC apartment! I also eat out a lot, whether it’s my favorite restaurant in Chinatown or the trendy new spot I’ve been reading about.

My last meal on earth:
my Mom’s Sukiyaki or Japanese Steak. I’m also crazy for hot dogs.

Instead of a long walk on the beach:
Playing a board game outside with a couple (ok actually 5 or 6) bottles of rosé.

JOSH PINKOW

VP, Business Development

After 6 years in the sports marketing industry, Josh came on board at TCG in December 2016 to bring his brand of creative thinking and marketing expertise to the burgeoning culinary marketing vertical.  Josh’s passion for food is only exceeded by his blind loyalty to NY sports, with his years spent as a tortured Jets and Knicks fan giving him a “never give up” attitude that continues to fuel his daily ‘NY vs. Boston’ debates with Lonny.  Prior to TCG, Josh acted as Director of Talent Marketing at TLA Worldwide, a global marketing and management firm specializing in the representation of premier athletes and personalities across the sports and culinary landscapes. #Jeter4Ever #BeachBum #DimSum

How I'm food connected:

I learned long ago that sitting for a good meal and (several) quality drinks is the best way to connect with people. I love cooking for my wife and our families, hosting for the holidays or prepping the perfect greasy meal while we kick back on a football Sunday.  Fat, drunk and happy is EXACTLY how life should be lived.

My last meal on earth:

Where do I even begin? Have to start with a little dim sum (steamed pork buns, anyone?) and a plate of raw oysters for an appetizer, a medium rare porterhouse with all the fixin’s for my main and I’d polish it off with my mom’s cheesecake and a healthy bowl of ice cream.

Instead of a long walk on the beach:

What time of year are we talking?  I spend as much time as possible outside, so it’s a safe bet you can find me on the golf course or beach during the spring/summer and snowboarding during the winter.  Need to burn off my mom’s cheesecake, right?!

KATE MOELIS

Account Coordinator

Kate is the token millennial of The Connect Group. Growing up in the suburbs of New York she always knew she wanted to move back after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, but she did not know exactly what she wanted to do. After a few interviews here and there Kate found The Connect Group and everything clicked. Now after being a part of the team for several months, Kate is extremely excited about being in the culinary industry and plans to continue building her career here. #lit #newyorkstateofmind #gmen

How I'm food connected:

Growing up I was lucky enough to travel and my favorite part of every family vacation was definitely eating. I love trying different cuisines and have always felt that food connects people. Words I live by, “clean your plate.”

My last meal on earth:

Bacon egg and cheese with a side of fries

Instead of a long walk on the beach:

Jamming at a concert (preferably Kanye, Eminem, or Snoop Dogg)
